Requirements for Provisional Registration

Note: All Provisional Certificates issued to a vessel have validity of three (3) months. Upon satisfactory completion, the vessel will be issued with a Provisional Certificate of Registry, Provisional Ship Station License and Provisional Minimum Safe Manning Certificate.

  • Copy of Bill of Sale duly Notarized

    Proof of vessel ownership transfer

  • Letter of Confirmation

    Official confirmation letter

  • Copy of Builder's Certificate

    For New Build vessels only

  • Copy of Court Decision

    If vessel was bought by auction court order

Additional Requirements:

  • Application for Registration

    With Authorization Letter if not applied by owner

  • Incorporation Documents

    For applications by a company

  • Copy of Passport

    For applications by individuals

  • Previous Certificates

    International Tonnage & Registration Certificates

Requirements for Permanent Registration

Timeline: The following documentation should be submitted within 90 days from the date of first Provisional Registration for the Permanent Registration of ships under Haiti flag and the issuance of Permanent Certificates.

Primary Documents:

  • Original Notarized Bill of Sale

    Or original notarized Builder's Certificate

  • Original Deletion Certificate

    From the previous registry

  • Copy of Deletion CSR

    If applicable

  • Original Application Form

    Duly signed by owner/Manager or authorized applicant

Certificates & Documentation:

  • Valid Statutory and Class Certificates

    Issued by IMSAG Recognized Organization (ISM, ISPS if applicable)

  • Updated Crew List

    And copies of Seafarers COEs including Certificate of Endorsement

  • Radio Equipment Details (RAA)

    Equipment Description and Frequencies, if applicable

  • Additional Certificates

    LRIT Certificate, BCC (1000 GT+), CLC for Oil Tankers, DMLC
